How to grow plants in containers
Container gardening is a very popular way of growing all sorts of plants, particularly for small gardens with little bare soil to grow in, or for people who don’t have a garden at all. Pretty much anything can be grown in a container and they can bring colour and interest to an otherwise unplantable spot.
On the downside, containers are an artificial environment for the plant, so it won’t be able to survive in one without your support. This means that container gardening is relatively high maintenance, as the plants are reliant on you, instead of the soil, to provide them with the right supply of water and nutrients.
